Science 2.0 Conference, 26/27 March 2014, Berlin

The gates of the International Science 2.0 Conference opened for the first time on 26 and 27 March 2014. Scientist from various disciplines, such as social sciences, humanities, life sciences, media science and communication science, met in Hamburg with practitioners from academic libraries to explore the following issues: how does the internet change the everyday working practices of researchers? What are the consequences of changing research and publishing habits for scientific infrastructures?

The conference was organised by the Leibniz Research Network Science 2.0 and the Leibniz Library Network for Research Information – Goportis.

Partner meeting, 28 November 2013, Berlin

On 28 November 2013, the partner meeting of the Leibniz Research Alliance Science 2.0 took place in Berlin during the Annual Meeting of the Leibniz Association. 45 people from the Alliance attended and welcomed six institutions as new members, so that the alliance now counts 35 partners. A poster session presented the first findings from the projects and Daniel Mietchen gave a lecture on “Free knowledge in the Research Alliance”.

Kick-off, 14/15 February 2013, Hamburg

On 14 and 15 February, the kick-off workshop for the Leibniz Research Alliance Science 2.0 at the ZBW Hamburg took place: more than 50 scholars from currently 30 partner institutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland discussed project proposals during a project marketplace and agreed cooperations.
